One of Nevada's best-known roadside restaurants becomes a gallery for July. Resilience in the Desert gathers some twenty artists, outdoor metal sculpture by Ricardo Breceda, and the story of Walker Lake - a receding desert lake and the bighorn herd that still crosses at dusk. Presented in connection with Artown, in partnership with the Walker Basin Conservancy. Free. Artist Day at month-end.

Classical Tahoe Music Festival returns for its 15th season July 11–Aug. 9, bringing four weeks of orchestral, jazz and chamber music performances to North Lake Tahoe. Featuring more than 70 musicians from across the country, the 2026 season includes orchestral masterpieces like Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1, the return of Music in Motion with the Lake Tahoe Dance Collective, the Brubeck Jazz Summit celebrating jazz legend Dave Brubeck, family-friendly programming and a new chamber concert at Sugar Bowl Resort. Performances take place at the Ricardi Pavilion at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe and additional venues throughout Incline Village. The season also honors America 250 with concerts featuring American composers and themes. Tickets and full festival information are available at classicaltahoe.org.

An evening of exciting dance works in collaboration with Lake Tahoe Dance Collective, featuring dancers from the New York City Ballet, Boston Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and Ballet Arizona, along with Classical Tahoe musicians.

Sierra Nevada Ballet presents Coppelia, a hilarious classic ballet about a man who falls in love with his invention. This flagship production of SNB’s 25th season is based on E.T.A. Hoffman's story and tells a tale of sneakery, imaginary magic, and drifting love. Choreographed by Rosine Bena and Ananda Bena-Weber, Coppelia features beautiful sets and costumes, and a cast of over 40 dancers. Three performances only:
July 25, Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, Reno.
July 27, Sand Harbor, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival.
August 1, Carson City Community Center.

About the Event

Earles of Newtown is a Nevada City-based, eight-piece Americana band known for its high-energy blend of Hot Jazz, gypsy jazz, and Western Swing. Led by trumpeter Earle Ford and washboardist/singer Chad Conner Crow, the band delivers lively, vaudevillian-inspired performances that combine vintage charm with modern flair. Featuring original music and back-alley blues, their sound draws inspiration from early jazz traditions while bringing a fresh, engaging stage presence that keeps audiences entertained. With dynamic instrumentation and spirited arrangements, Earles of Newtown creates a fun and memorable live music experience that celebrates the rich history of American roots music.
